I did do some checking on R'Dubs degrees. I know all about how degrees work, especially in the field of Religion. Right now I don't have time to expound on the subject and this is not a "Dedicated Thread" for that so I'll try to stay within certain parameters. I asked the same question on Factnet 4 or 5 years ago about his so called "Degrees" and no one had a direct answer. Maybe in the future this is a subject that could be visited on this Blog site.

This is a topic that had been previously discussed on a few occasions but it hasn't come up in a good while and I don't believe that it's ever come up on this blog. Is there anyone out there that can confirm whether or not RWD actually ever truly held any type of degree? One of my NTCC pastors told the brothers in the serviceman's home (including me) that RWD held a Doctorate degree of some kind ( I believe we were told theology), however there have been a good many people who have suggested that there has never been any evidence to even remotely support such a claim. Of course all responses are welcome.
Thanks Mark for a good topic,

Degree? I think it was a PhD Dr of Psychol. I recall him saying that he got it from a School in Nebraska. In the 70's he got it to be able to start or run a private school NTCDay School. Degree probably via mail. He did disclose he was attending college classes on weekends in 1975-1976. He made sure to include his PhD in the first handbook of NTCC. This way he could grant degrees to others- JHO and JRA, DD Doctors of Divinity... whether honorary or not.. etc.. I was listed in the first NTCC handbook. Ain't I special?
ReplyDeleteI saw that you were listed there serving on some kind of staff position if I recall correctly. You do go back a good way's DD.
ReplyDeleteI'm not patronizing you but as you know I've always valued your input on all these different forums. You go back with the NTCC a good many years, and I understand that you've experienced life in the NTCC during a time that none of the rest of us did. Thanks Bro for your continued participation here on this blog.
I believe the crooked NTCC leadership lost a good guy with your departure DD. A departure that was no doubt prompted by their crooked deeds. The NTCC has lost so many good guys. It's such a shame. With few exceptions they seem to have kept a lot of creeps while running off so many good guys.
They lost another good pastor quite recently who's name I'm not at liberty to disclose openly on this forum. If anyone is interested in a name I can be contacted at 404-405-7842. I promised that I wouldn't put it on this blog however it's quite a story of yet more continued abuse and misuse by the NTCC leadership.

I heard it was from Concordia University in St. Louis. My Understanding is he has a PHD and a DD. I did some checking a few years ago and there is no record of him having gone to any school anywhere.
What I don't understand is this. Why all the Secrecy by him as well as the organization? What is the big deal? The Church where I go to the Pastor has a Masters Degree. He doesn't go flaunting it around, And there has never been any doubt as to the Degree being Legitiment. In such an instance, People are left to speculation. So many of the Degrees in the world of Religion are bestowed to the point of Laughability.
Later on today, Or this evening when I have more time I will attempt to expound on this, But right now I have to go out and make a Living.
This so-called degree Davis has is highly suspect. First of all, when you ask a normal person what degree they have, they will not hesitate to say, "Oh, I got an MBA at Duke University" or whatever school they attended. With RWD it was always, "It's none of your business". He didn't want to talk about it. He would never mention the school or degree-- everything was hush-hush. That alone tells me he doesn't have a real degree, or maybe he got one online. Or more likely he got it from a cereal box.

Jeff,
ReplyDeleteI was really thinking about what have written about NTCC concerning education. They will go out of their way to criticize any college you attend that is not theirs. I attended a few intense courses in a WORLD RENOWN University and even did an internship after I left NTCC (and was dumb enough to come back because things had "mellowed out"). The Pastor was sure to let me know that I did not learn anything and that my college was fake(which it isn't).
Some Pastors were even critical of you furthering your military education(depending on who you were.) My spouse was offered SEVERAL chances to change his MOS he was better suited for. The Pastor did everything He could to put the vice grips of pressure on my spouse not to change. Why? It was all about losing our tithe! Of course in the long run this created alot of grief an anguish in his Army career. Did the Pastor care...nope!

Bingo! You just won the prize. The same thing happened to me. For a short period of time my military career definitely took second place. I avoided some military schools that I absolutely shouldn't have for the sake of the NTCC. You better believe that they, (the NTCC pastors) want total control of your life and they certainly want control of your money, and they pull every trick in the book to get as much of it as they can. The real unfortunate thing is that a good portion of the money is controlled by the folks in Graham anyway.
They try and suggest that it is God who is taking control of your life but it's not; it is certainly them, (the NTCC pastors). There is no Biblical evidence of Jesus acting the way that many NTCC pastors have acted.
Anonymous, I know exactly what you are talking about. Good to hear from you.

Ha, ha. I like the cereal box explanation but the "online" guess is virtually impossible because "online" didn't even exist in the mid seventies which is around the time that double-D referenced. The cereal box is certainly the most likely guess.

Jeff, what's really bad is many of us did not get to use our GI bill benefits. We were under this illusion / spell (as many of you reading this blog were, also) that life in NTCC was going to be all you would ever need. Need no worldly education, degree, etc., GI bill benefits... while others are doing all they can to leverage their place in the "world". This blatant hypocrisy .... whew!
ReplyDeleteAnyway its all part of the classic cult technique or rule: You don't see what you see, nor hear what you hear. (Or is that dysfunctional families, hmm... I can't seem to tell the difference.) Thank God we've matured, no longer gooey-brained 20 somethings, who will drink the kool-aid. (apologies to Kool Aid)
Jeff, I was a teacher in NTCC and an office worker. On the dole... from the guys... along with Ms. Durek and Veronica Medina, etc... you are right, NTCC drove away some good people, folks God sent to HELP them. But Mr. Un-rebuke-able Pope Himself would not listen to any correction, suggestion, nothing, now they are a sterile, shadow of what they might have become, I say, Yikes!
fdub is a proven THIEF & LIAR
ReplyDeleteSeems to me the innocent don't run and the honest don't hide. Just ask any cop. They catch folks all the time who take off running before the cop even knows that they were guilty...
What's rdub trying to hide? Unless he lied about having a degree? Why keep it a secret where he got it and what it is?
He probably lied.
To earn a doctorate requires writing a thesis that is original (meaning it is your idea, your work, not somebody else's idea or work).
rdub is a plagiarist. he taught classes that he couldn't even nail down a name for, so we students just chose form the three or four he broadcast... i chose Success... but the class was based on Napoleon Hill's book, THE LAW OF SUCCESS. davis never mentioned that fact to the students.
If you steal somebody's work and pass it off as you own you are a:
THIEF & LIAR
If you regularly lie about such basic issues, why should we believe your undocumented claim to having a degree? Let's see a dipolma and your thesis.
You say you are a resident of Missouri, judging by where you register your Cadillacs, so

THE POPE IS rdub's 'THAT GUY'
ReplyDeleteIn a recent post double-D called rdub the Pope. And that got me thinkin' about rdub and players in general. Here's double-D's statement:
double-D said: "NTCC drove away some good people, folks God sent to HELP them. But Mr. Un-rebuke-able Pope Himself would not listen..."--double-D
But getting back to the pope being rdub's that guy, let' define the phrase THAT GUY:
THAT GUY IS:
THAT GUY is the one with the girl. He is the one the player wants to destroy, so the player can have the girl. The player doesn't want to keep the girl. He just wants to score and destroy THAT GUY is just added spice in the game... Here's how it goes:
Guys trying to hit on a chic who is with another guy will try to tear down the man she is with thus:
'You're with THAT GUY? Why THAT GUY is...' then they assasinate THAT GUY's character, calling him and his actions everything bad and bragging how different they are: 'I would never (fill-in-the-blanks) to you like THAT GUY...'
The technique is:
Make THAT GUY look bad.
Make THE PLAYER look good.
Separate girl from THAT GUY.
Move into THAT GUY's slot.
This is often an effective technique, as any player will tell you. It works by sowing doubt into the girl's mind, slowly wearing down her affection for THAT GUY by filling her head with lies about how evil THAT GUY is and how wonderful the player is.
Even though it is all lies, the player knows he can deceive her long enough to score, which was his only goal: another notch in the belt and spoiling THAT GUY's game just sweetens the deal for the player.
Players are predatory
LIARS WHO COVET WHAT THAT GUY HAS AND WILL LIE, CHEAT, AND STEAL TO GET IT ONLY TO THROW IT AWAY ONCE THEY HAVE CONSUMED THEIR LUST.
double-D said: "NTCC drove away some good people, folks God sent to HELP them. But Mr. Un-rebuke-able Pope Himself would not listen..."--double-D
THE POPE IS rdub's THAT GUY:
rdub craves the Pope's power and wealth. So for years he has gone around tearing down the pope with deragatory statements, all the while coveting the pope's power and wealth.
And double-D was right to call rdub the pope.
Now rdub has become the pope, with the wealth and power over people whom rdub will discard if they threaten to remove his wealth or power from him.
It is so obvious what rdub's goals and methods are:
WEALTH AND POWER BROUGHT TO rdub BY LIES AND CONTROL AND FEAR MONGERING.
Maybe the pope could take a lesson or two from rdub.
And as it was noted on Tracy's blog, at least with the pope you only have to kiss his ring.
And all the while rdub complains about THAT GUY the pope.
Shovel your stink elsewhere rdub. We know what you and yours are...

RW claimed outright to be the pope of NTCC 30 years ago. He told us that the Catholic church and the Mormons had church government nailed down. He claimed to be an apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, and pastor, all rolled into one, and that authority flowed from God through him down to us in a hierarchical fashion.
ReplyDeleteIt was just another example of The Big Lie. These manipulators understand that normal people can't imagine fabricating untruths so breathtakingly outrageous, and depend on that knowledge to sustain their empires of falsehood. Sincere people fall for their lies until they're finally led into the ditch.
Man, we were suckers.
Rdub is not a pope...he's a pimp!
ReplyDelete"but the class was based on Napoleon Hill's book, THE LAW OF SUCCESS. davis never mentioned that fact to the students."
ReplyDeleteGood old Napoleon. I have right now in my Office 3 Books by him. I have read on him extensively and it seems to me that his view of what he calls "God" is strange. If you listen to him for any length of time you notice that he does use that term but only in the context of asking him to make you successful in whatever endevour that you choose to undertake in life. It seems to me (at least in HIS mind, that "God" is the means to justify the end of YOUR DESIRES)It's like..."Never mind what "God" wants in your life, If you have what is called a "Definite Chief Aim" then (If you believe in Prayer) you are enjoined to Pray to "God". Of course, He doesn't tell you which "God" to pray to, Whether it is the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob in the name of Christ, Or the "God of the Heathern". So I guess any old "God" will do in Napoleon Hill's mind.
Getting off the subject, and then right back on it again, I can't help but believe that many of the people who are out there in Radio and Television land who Preach the Gospel day in and day out don't even believe in God. The world of Religion is what it is, A BUSINESS!!!!!!!! Nothing more, or nothing less. If any of you ever get a chance and have a few bucks to spend get the movie called "Marjoe". You can probably pick it up on Amazon for a couple of dollars. This movie is about Marjoe Goertner, Who was suppose to be the youngest Minister ever ordained (5 years old) and he talks about his life, as well as other people that he has known over the years. To me it's worth a couple of dollars to buy.
Some of these people. It's like....What are they thinking? Do they think that they are going to live on this earth forever in Wealth and Opulence and use the Gospel for the purpose of exploiting others as well a fullfilling their own lusts? Jesus spoke about all of these things. But hey, Fasten your seat belts, Because it just gets worse from here.

AST (Advanced School of Theology) was based on "The Law of Success." I got some of Napoleon Hill's other books, and learned that they guy is an occultist. He said that after writing one of his books, he was sitting at his typewriter musing on what he had written, when a cosmic voice sounded and begin to instruct him on his life's mission. According to Napoleon, it was the voice of one of the Ascended Masters, ancient leaders who are 10,000+ years old and live in the Himalayas, and who communicate with one another through mental telepathy. The voice said that Hill had been chosen to bring the message of success and achievement to the human race.
ReplyDeleteSo RW's "graduate level" course isn't based on the bible at all. Those of us who attended know that virtually all that was discussed was how to acquire and multiply money. Very little time was devoted to spiritual matters; it was all about filthy lucre. But the problem was that this knowledge did us absolutely no good as long as we were under RW's thumb, because we didn't have liberty to follow the Law of Success strategy, which depends on the ability of a person to chart his own destiny. It was all a hoax! Cruel, too; they would dangle all this potential wealth and success in front of us, and then frustrate any attempts we might make at attaining it.

What you are saying, Vic, doesn't surprise me at all considering his view on something he calls the "Eathernet" and the ability in the very near future for people to be able to communicate without speaking, and be able to hear, without listening. Bit G said,
Vic has done a good job summarizing one of ntcc's most effective control techniques:
WITHHOLD THE PROFFERED REWARD
rdub calls it the smile and clammy hand shake.
It could be described as bait and switch too. Get someone to do something for you by baiting them with an allusion to a promise of giving them some reward if they come through.
Then, once they do deliver, say you never made that promise or berate their accomplishment: That wasn't what I wanted. Or lie and say they misunderstood...
It's like Sybil's 'mommy' offering her a cookie: They stand at the top of a staircase and dearest 'mommy' offers the toddler a cookie, holding it out over the stairs. Naturally the little girl grabs for the reward and trips over dear mommy's foot that she has thrust out there for just that purpose.
The reward? Broken and bruised Sybil gets to lie at the bottom of the stairs and listen to mommy laugh and berate her for falling.
Mommy is just like ntcc.

Its amazing how in times past, many preachers claimed that the NTCC Bible School wasn't accredited because they wanted to keep the gov't out of their school.
ReplyDeleteThis snippet is from Education Bug:
Why Wouldn’t a School be Accredited?
"There are a variety of reasons that schools might not receive accreditation. One reason is if the school is what is called a “diploma mill.” A diploma mill is a school that grants diplomas that are either fraudulent or worthless on account of a lack of appropriate standards."
Thanks, Vic, for confirming the "Pope declaration" we all heard in the 1970's.. (see my other comment on John Dowie's "Elijah declaration" and G. Jordan's 24/UpB4Throne" declaration) tee-hee .
ReplyDeleteVic mentioned the "ascended masters" of N. Hill. That reminded me of Scientology's (TM) higher levels of ascendancy, yeah, right... and you know re: Pope Davis, you can gather a bunch of 20 year olds and scream at them and scare them into blind (and I do mean blind) obedience... I am reminded how Brigham Young took a movement that might have otherwise fizzled under the leadership of Joe Smith and whipped it into a frenzy & global phenomenon. Today there are millions of adherents...
POPE RW: why did he have no one to report to? (Episcopal style denomination he was creating- at least in this we were aware.) RW... yet I found his many fallible leadings... teachings... to be against the WORD of GOD. He lacked true insight and revelation, but yet ran with enthusiasm instead.
If Bro. Gaylord was to come back today and preach to them now... boy--- Tanya and McK would run for the hills. (although Rev. Gaylord was a bit off looking back we see.. - we did really love him for his ... what? sacrificial love...)
I remember the old-style holiness preaching- holiness or hell. No movies, no TV, no this that and the other.. Kekel says he's true to the Church of 1950's??? who is he kidding? Is he self-deceived?

The NTCC wants to keep the Gov't out of their school because if they didn't the Gov't would inevitably dig up info on their tax evasion and misuse of their non profit status. That is my true belief. The NTCC must have reasons other than the lame ones they give for having it's students and members in Graham pay rent, tithes and other dues in CASH and CASH ONLY!!! I've been told that CASH was required by more than one person who lived in Graham. That fact jumps right out to people who truly give it consideration.
Having to pay tithes and rent in cash has "alleviate the paper trail" written all over it. If I'm wrong which I doubt, the NTCC has done a horrible job at abstaining from the appearance of evil with that whole requiring payments in CASH business. That has tax evasion and or hiding profit written all over it.
The NTCC's whole operation is as shady as the day is long and the average church member wouldn't have a clue. It's only after you talk to minister after minister and pastor after pastor that you start to really get a feel on how the NTCC operates. It's very shady and without doubt secretive to say the least. The is a reason for all the secrecy surrounding the way the NTCC operates.

They want you to sacrifice while they live in oppulence.
They want you bound by all their man-made rules while they live any old way they want.
They want your unquestioning loyalty while they backstab and backbite you from the pulpit.
They want your wife not to work a paying job so they can put her to work for no wages cleaning tanya's house or doing verna's ironing. (I personally saw one sister who had done the ironing for verna returning rdub's clothes--a stack that was literally half the height of the sister! That poor lady! I bet she didn't get a dime for her labor either. Like I said, I was there and didn't see any cash from verna goin' to that worker's hand.)
They want you to live in one of their run-down rentals while they build extravagant mansions.
They want your kids to live in servitude and silent subjection without sports and more while grant does whatever he wants.

ReplyDeleteI believe it was called "The Master Key to Riches" (how's that for a spiritual title, eh?). I've still got it around here someplace; I think I even quoted directly from it on FACTnet.
Napoleon Hill does teach a lot of good things, but none of it should be confused with theology; he was a professing atheist.
Back to the Subject of Degrees....(Somewhat, anyway)
ReplyDeleteIn the World of religion, One has to be careful, and not take anything at face value in this area. Just because someone says they have a Doctorate Degree doesn't mean anything. Many, In fact most of the people that you see on the TV who call themselves "Dr." do not even possess one in the literal sense and I believe it is deceptive to give someone an impression of something that is not even true. Many, Many supposed "Men of God" (Women too) have never attended Seminary. Many people know that there are "Earned" Degrees, and then there are degrees that are "Bestowed" upon one.
In order to Earn a Doctorate Degree in either Theology, Hermeneutics, or in whatever field of endeavor you pursue in the world of Religion it take about 12 years. There are people who have done it in 10-1/2 years but if you do it in that short of a time you had better be ready to work your butt off.
Kenneth Hagin,Jessee Duplintis, Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, Fredrick Price, and others? All bestowed. And by whom? None other than by ORU (Oral Roberts University) Does this come as a surprise to anyone? Should it? They all seem to be bedfellows. Also, About Finis Dake. I heard all of these stories about the Man when I was attending NTCC about how he spoke several different languages. I mean,he had to have spoken New Testament Greek, as well as Old Testament Hebrew to have made translations in his Dakes bible, Didn't he?
Finis Dake attended 1 Bible College Class, and only spoke 1 Language.....English!! Many of his translations from Greek to English are just WRONG!!
Another Character that has been around for awhile is Fredrick Eikeronkoetter. Many people know him as "Rev. Ike". He has 2 Doctorate degrees, and both of them were bestowed upon him by his Church. Which he (No Coincidence)started.
Ever heard of Charles Stanley? He has a Doctorate degree from Luther Rice University which is "Earned". My Pastor has a Masters Degree from Geneva University that is Earned.
These are just a few people. But there are many, many more. And does it come as any surprise that many of them come out of Church's that are of Pentecostal/Charismatic Origin? Why is that?
If I sound somewhat antagonistic towards that particular system of belief.......
It's because I am. I won't get into it right now, Because I've ranted long enough. (For Now)
Mark G: You've got my attention. You haven't been ranting too long. You just stopped the movie right in the middle with me sitting on the edge of my seat. This is interesting information so certainly feel free to continue your train of thought as soon as you get a chance.

I wanted to spend my time learning how to PRAY!
But this topic shows ntcc's overemphasis on outward looks.
Who cares if dorsie, an ntcc minister in "good standing", slaps other peoples' kids in the face?
He sure has a nice suit on when he does it.
And joey olson and rw davis look so ministerial as they sweep the reports of dorsie's abuse under the carpet.
Oh, and perhaps now mc kekel will glibbly declare, 'dorsie is no longer with us' (?) as mc did with leslie a. taylor when stories of l.a.t. beating other peoples' kids with a wooden board came to light.
Guess it's all good in the hood.
Just so long as you keep up the number$ on the church reports, shine your shoes, and curl your hair, and for heaven's sake don't bring a lawsuit against the church by getting caught because then ntcc would be libel and have to pay $$$$ since they knew these men were beating kids but still left them in their "position of authroity" as "ministers in good standing"....
I guess minister in good standing in ntcc is jargon for do whatever you want as long as you keep our cash flow positive.
leslie taylor beats kids with a board? What's his tithe report and escrow running?
dorsie slaps kids in the face? How many were in church? Um huhn. Tithe report and escrow look good...
