The NTCC leadership places all kinds of employment restrictions upon anyone who is either a minister or anyone who aspires to become a minister. Ministers and aspiring minister are only allowed to work certain jobs. They are ordered to work only certain hours of the day and certain days of the week. Following such mandates often results in them forfeiting the possibility of landing the best jobs available. They are brainwashed into believing that is the only way a Christian man should live for God. In the process these NTCC guys are taught by the example of their peers, to believe that it's "NORMAL" for them to live far below the poverty level. The end result is that many of them struggle financially for years and years. They drive old broke down cars and shop at second hand clothing stores and that becomes the norm but I'll guarantee that is not the norm for RWD. The NTCC system is exactly what creates this and people should want their daughters to marry into that mess? My daughter has more important things to talk about other than second hand shopping hot spots.
One day I remember Oberhauser's wife telling me that she really hoped that her husband could buy her a digital camera sometime in the near future. During that time her husband was having all kinds of vehicle problems with the one vehicle that they owned. Her statement about the camera stuck with me. You mean they were that broke? A digital camera? I felt so bad for her that I talked to my wife and considered buying her a digital camera. Well I'm glad I didn't. I didn't put them in that situation and neither did God. The NTCC leadership did and they took the bait hook line and sinker. You are one seriously broke man and woman if you can't even get a measly little digital camera and you are shopping for second hand clothing driving an old beat up van? I don't want my daughter to have any part of that whole situation and the last thing she needs is some old broke dude to have her stranded on the side of the road in some second clothes and who can't even buy her a stinkin digital camera of all things.
We ain't rich but my wife lives like Queen in comparison. She has more than one digital camera to choose from. When my wife wants something, either I buy it or she does, PERIOD. If I want something I buy it, obviously within reason because we ain't millionaires. I like a few things. nice guns, nice tools, and computers and I have a real nice collection of each. I also like a good chain saw. In fact I bought a brand new gun Saturday and why? Because I stopped letting the NTCC tell me when I could work and what jobs I could take. L.D. Jones tried to tell me that mess one night in Columbus because I sold new Toyotas. I'll guarantee that I treated my customers more fairly than most of these NTCC pastors have treated their church members, so who is the crook? I "CONSTANTLY" run into people who I sold cars and I'll guarantee if you were to talk to them in my absence, they'd have nothing but good things to say about me. I had a family drive two hours from out of town driving past one Toyota dealership right after another so the Son, Father, and Grandfather all on separate occasions could buy 3 brand new cars from me. Why? Because I proved to them they could trust me!!! That is a good feeling folks and that is the kind of reputation I have across about 10 counties. And I was supposed to quit that job because L.D. Jones said so? Who would you rather buy a car from? A good dude who cares about folks or a crook? Yes the car business has crooks and so is the NTCC so whats the difference? Jones wanted me to quit the car business but I didn't see him quiting the NTCC? Well, while Oberhauser was so broke that he couldn't pay attention I was selling a brand new van to one of his church members and he got the best deal that I could possibly get the dealership to give. So Oberhauser was living off of $150 a week because that is all a crook living in a mansion would pay him, while I was doing my best to save his church member thousands of dollars. Who's the crook Jones?
My daughter has been accepted into one of the best colleges in the nation and she is not going to be left high and dry by some NTCC dude who thinks he is worth no more than $150 a week. If she finds a good prosperous man to take care of her that is fine but if he leaves her like I've seen happen in the NTCC, she is going to have the skills and degree needed to take care of herself and she ain't going to have to worry about whether or not she can get a digital camera. In fact, if she wanted a digital camera tomorrow I'd go out and buy her a nice Canon just to prove a point. Y'all can let the NTCC suck up all your opportunities and money if you want to but I'm not the one. Those days are over and here is the funny part. I don't want my daughter to live in poverty and RWD won't let Tanya live like that either. That is why she is teaching at the NTCS and your wife isn't. Many of you will let your wives and daughters ride around in an old broke down car, in second hand clothing but me and RWD have a better plan for ours. You better believe that Grant won't be riding around like that either. He is going to a secular college and it ain't the NTCS, and that's what makes my family and the Kekels a whole lot smarter than many of you. Mike Kekel and I don't buy off on that NTCC mess, and that is why our children will be attending a good secular college that gives out real degrees which result in good jobs. Oh I'm wrong about Mike? Is his kid going to the NTCS? I rest my case. Mike didn't have to send him off to college? He could have joined the Army and gone off to war like your kids and he could have stayed in a serviceman's home. Oh he doesn't want to serve God? Mike didn't have to send him to college, HE WANTED TO!!!!!!!!
My wifes digital camera is getting old, she might need a new one. She can't get a digital camera? That is what I call the "hoodwink" and poverty level thinking. These folks should say, "wait a minute, you mean I can't even afford a digital camera?" Something is wrong with this picture. The Kekels are living in a museum and I'm only getting $150 a week to pastor a serviceman's home and I can't even buy my wife a digital camera? How blind.
Jeff
Jeff,
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll! Everything about the ntcc's crooked ways is so obvious once you get out and have the time and energy to look at those crooks for what they are. Of course the first rule of mind control cults is to keep the members busy so they are too tired to think.
Rule number 2 is to keep 'em broke so they can not afford to leave.
We're glad you keep writing about this stuff. It may help people wake up to the reality that is right there in front of their faces.
davis and kekel are not "blessed" as they claim. They are crooks who took your hard earned cash and called you stupid while you made their wallets fat.
They made the rules to keep you broke and demanded that you give until it hurts while they pocket everything you've given and give nothing in return but hollow words like "I appreciate you." or derisive words about your "oil puker" of a car.
They want you to think your "spending habits" are what made you broke; but it is their system of rules that force you to give ten percent of what you earned, ten percent of what your church members give, anything left after that then gets dumped into the building that ntcc owns but charges you rent for, and then you have to meet all the other expenses plus eek out a living for your wife and kids. No wonder your wife knows what day is dollar day at the local kook store. Do you think tanya kekel will be there? Why not? Cause her husband is a thief who lies to your husband and tells him to send all his earnings to Graham, Washington so tanya can buy more antique furniture, a new beamer, another lexus, and a brand new vehicle for grant.... If you wise up to their scam they will threaten to replace you. When you leave; they will lie about you. But don't worry. Who cares what liars have to say about you? Just leave and learn how nice it is to serve God without the lying middle-man called the ntcc getting in the way and robbing you of the blessings that God has for you. Remember, you are a child of God because of what Jesus did for you. You don't need the ntcc. They need you to keep them rolling in profit. What have they done for you? Soak you until you are broke? Make fun of you at conference? Lie about you to your friends so they won't talk to you? Wow, what buddies they are. Do you really need them? Really, what have they given to you or done for you? What have you given to them and done for them? Was it a fair exchange? Did the people under Paul's ministry get blasted for "taking stupid pills"? Did they give ten percent plus 40 percent plus ten percent plus offerings so the Apostle Peter's wife could talk bad about them, saying "we need some men with strong backs and weak minds"??? Why keep paying kekel to abuse you and mock you? Get real. You deserve better. Let's see kekel and davis do what they demand of others. Talkers. Big mouths. Them talking about lying salesmen is the pot calling the kettle black. They "sell" Christ to make their wallets fat. "Period."

Bingo!!!! That is exactly how it is. The reason you are broke couldn't possibility have anything to do with you packing up everything you had, moving to Graham and starting out fresh? NOT! It couldn't have anything to do with them taking up another pledge offering every time you managed to save up a little money? Not! It couldn't have anything to do with you moving from Graham to start a pioneer work from scratch? Not! I couldn't have anything to do with you selling everything you have almost every time you move and having to start out fresh or having to pay to ship it each time? Not! It couldn't have anything to do with only getting $150 a week as a serviceman's home pastor? Not! It couldn't have anything to do with giving offerings 4 times a week and special offerings? Not! No, the reason so many NTCC pastors are broke couldn't have anything to do with any of those factors. They simply had bad spending habits? NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
By and large it's the NTCC system which results in large populations of NTCC ministers who wind up running around in broke down vehicles with second hand clothing. That is exactly what it is. How come I don't know ONE person I work with who is constantly running around in a broke down car wearing second hand clothing? Because that is not the norm but in the NTCC it is.
I don't care if you want to sacrifice for the Lord because you think you should as a Christian. No problem there but there is a problem when your last dime which you need as much as the next guy is going into the pockets of someone who has enough money to send their child through grade school at the cost of nearly $20,000 a year!!!!!!!
I'm not remaining broke so you can become more wealthy than you already are and it's your system that is causing me to be broke in the first place.
I'm not saying that every NTCC pastor is broke but there is entirely too many who are, and it's an obvious pattern perpetuated by the system they are a part of.

The NTCC man, was such a crook, he twisted the scriptures, from the good book, he told me to quit, another good job, then I went broke and started to sob.
Along came a man, who started a blog, and he showed me, I was dead as a log, I opened my eyes, and saw the light, and knew my pastor, didn't act right, and
Look what the Lord has done, Look what the Lord has done, he opened my eyes, just in time, he showed me the NTCC crime.

It didn't have anything to do with it if you were so broke that you didn't have much to spend in the first place. That is the point here. How in the world are you going to get ahead with $150 dollars a week? Folks are trying to scrape up money every time conference comes around and then comes the pledge the NTCC takes up practically every conference. What we are saying here is true. Just being in Mayers church was sucking me dry and I made more money than anyone in the whole church. One brother was driving around with no insurance or vehicle registration but that was ok as long as he picked up folks for church.
Another brother got jumped on at least once a week because he had to work on Saturday but what was he supposed to do, quit his job? According to the NTCC pastor he was. Oh, but when he became broke, he didn't know how to handle his money? I'll tell you a good place to start. If you are running out of money stop making pledges. Stop putting money in the offering, stop running all over town and burning up your gas money picking up folks for church, stay home this conference, definitely don't quit a good job because you have to work on Saturday, and go to church two days a week in stead of 5 and see how much more money you have.
If you are still broke then change your spending habits but if all of a sudden you now have a nice bank account, then the NTCCs system was making you broke.
Lets see who's plan works, mine or the NTCCs prosperity plan.
My plan: Work better jobs and if you need to, by all means work on the weekend or evenings and give less to the church and if you really can't afford to, don't go to conference and I'll bet you have more money!!
NTCCs prosperity preaching plan: Quit good jobs if they interfere with the NTCC schedule, never work on the weekend or evenings, make every conference and church service whether you can afford to or not, give as much as you can to the NTCC in pledges, offerings and in tithe and they say you'll have more money.
If you are working the NTCC plan and you are broke, try my plan and see if you don't wind up with a decent savings account?
If my plan works, give me 10% of your income, I'll invest it and give you your original 10% back and a percentage of the profit I make off your 10% and we'll all own investment properties just like RWD and y'all can start your own church just like RWD.
I'll guarantee this: I have a better job now that I've left the NTCC then I ever had at any point in time while I was with the NTCC and this job pays me more money, better benefits, and more time off and I'm not even working weekends now at all. Go figure.
That is ok, just keep thinking you can buy your way into heaven and I'll keep taking care of my family like the Bible says and we'll see who winds up on the short end of the stick.

Begging the question there, Aren't you?
One brother was driving around with no insurance or vehicle registration
ReplyDeleteBro Jeff,
I know you were not referring to me, but that is what happened to me in Korea. Man, I was brainwashed and naive to giving giving giving the NTCC way. Sucked dry. No money to purchase car insurance and PRAYING my wife did not get into an accident. This went on for over a year.
If one admits to it, you better believe that 10 folks are suffering but afraid to admit it and 20 folks are thinking about it
NTCC will put you in such a spin that you have no idea if your going to land heads or tails.
By the way I saved 100 Dollars switching to Geico, and that aint no joke!!!
Bro Johnson
Bro Jeff,
ReplyDeleteTrue Story how I was brainwashed by NTCC:
In Korea, I had just gotten married. I had a hooptie, it was cheap but it got around.
I had to go to the field for a few weeks. It was advised that I loan the car to another brother to pick folks up for church.
My wife had every right to be furious with me.
Looks like all the skeletons are coming out of the closet now.
I hope that my testimony WAKES UP some unsuspecting brother or sister or NTCC Preacher.
Note: NTCC has a way to use your car when your gone. Just park your nice car in the parking lot while your in Iraq, brother, leave the keys with us in case we have to move it. Yea Right! More like USE IT. That did not stop one brother's KIA from getting broken into and the windshield smashed in at Fort Riley, KS. Imagine what the Pastor told the brother. 'You Insured brother, you can take care of it when you get back"
It was a Miracle of God that my marriage held together.
Bro Johnson
There ain't one soul gonna buy his way into heaven that is why Paul made giving to the church a 100% choice. Nobody is gonna pay their way to heaven.
ReplyDeleteYou either trust 100% in the death, burial, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ, or you can't enter in. Find if you give, but Jesus and salvation is not for sell!!!
Oh yea,
ReplyDeleteNTCC so called "Day Care service" during their services leaves something to be desired.
Some so called sister took my little boy into the Servicemens home at Fort Riley Kansas a few years back and took a picture of my son getting kissed on the mouth by her little girl.
(1) This happened without my or my wife's permission
(2) The Sister who made this pic happened thought it was cute.
(3) You talk about getting pissed off. That was the beginning of the end. If I am entrusting you with the welfare of my child you better not be staging freaking photo shoots just because you think it is cute with my son or daughter.
Then Devonshire comes up with the bright idea to paint the basement of the servicemen's home (Hello - no air circulation). Then Devonshire makes the announcement that, "it is OK to have your children go down to the basement for Childrens Sunday School. OK, I am sorry, but I am NOT exposing my kids to noxious fumes. I do not want my son becoming retarted due to your stupidity. So we kept our kids with us.
After a while, my son just comes to me crying. I am sorry, there is something wrong when your kid comes to you crying. The sisters are suppose to call you if you kids start crying.
MY SON IN HIS INFANCY KNEW THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH NTCC. CHILDREN SHOW AND TELL THE TRUTH IN THEIR CAPACITY TO DEMONSTRATE IT.
Bro Johnson
Jeff,
ReplyDeleteHere goes more "Slave Chronicles" for you and all to read.
The reason why I say slave chronicles is that I was a slave to the so called NTCC Man of God
I used to, and this is no exaggeration haul 5 gallon jugs of water 1/4th of a mile up a steep hill in Korea for Macdonald and his wife to use.
I considered it a great service to assist the Man of God and would actually do this quite often.
Outside of a killer workout, I thought that I would be a blessing to the MacDonalds.
This guy I guess was starting a work of God and sucked me dry out of THOUSANDS.
AND free slave labor for him...He was too cheap to give me money for a taxi to make it happen.
I was a Go Getter. I made it happen. And by making it happen all the time I was taken advantage of. Then Macdonald gets upset when I stopped coming to his little home. He claims at the time that "I was not right with God".
I'm not right with God because I get tired of being taken advantage of?????
I even loaned my small home to the brothers who would come up from Wageon or come down from Camp Casey so that they would have a place to stay. All these smelly brothers and me with a newly minted wife.
Imagine what was going through her head. I did allow her to attend anther church, it was probably the only thing I allowed that saved our young marriage.
I say this to all curious readers:
ReplyDeleteFLEE NTCC AND DO NOT LOOK BACK. REMEMBER LOTS WIFE.
Sincerely,
Bro Johnson
Sorry Jeff, can't take credit for that one. Ange wrote the first comment on this thread. I love her. We are one and very like-minded in many ways. Who says women are not called to preach or usurp authority over a bunch of crooked theives and vipers or at the very least reprove them for their hypocrisy. I believe that if we were not here to point out the hypocrisy of the ntcc that God would probably raise up a donkey to do the job. It needs to be pointed out and Ange does it as good as anyone. We are one in purpose and share the same blogger identity and she writes many comments, but in this case I felt the need to give credit where credit is due.
ReplyDeleteWe are on a roll Jeff. Life is so good. God is very good to us. We no longer have to live off of the scraps from the ntcc table. There truly is a glorious life outside of the abusive cult.

ReplyDeleteSo don't forget to send in your:
minister's license renewal fee,
personal tithe,
church tithe,
escrow,
Sunday night budget offering,
World Missions pledges for works run by people that are not really missionaries since they labor near a military base where they get their money, instead of from ntcc's phat bank accounts
building fund pledge money
Trumpet subscription fees
campground accommodation hotel fees
servicemen's home food offering fees
servicemen's home rent offering fees
Praise Him 'til your broke so kekel who lives in a mansion, owns several luxury cars, sent his vasectomy rule exception kid to private school for $20,000 a year can mock you and say it's YOUR spending habits that caused YOU to be broke while he spends on all his luxury life play things...
luxury car collections
expensive musical instrument collections
expensive motorcycle...
expensive motorhomes...
Then Praise Him and give some more so davis can do what he told you he would: "When you are sixty-five and standing in a soup-kitchen line, I am gonna drive by you in my Cadillac, pointing and laughing at you in the soup line." r w davis
So remember, "All Christians pay tithe and give in offerings." r w davis
"If you let your wife work on a job, you are prostituting that woman." r w davis
"Some times things are necessary in the work of the [borg, oops,] Lawd." joe olson...
So you ntcc missionaries should lie to the foreign governments and say you are tourists; so the ntcc won't have to spend a dime on you; and you should both get jobs, you and your wife, to pay the $5,000 a month budget 'needful' to run that 'non-missionary' church in a foreign land.
And remember, "If you aren't having service five times a week, don't call and tell me you need money." r w davis
When I was in NTCC I never heard any pastors talk about saving or retirement for the future. I think if RWD really cared for there preachers, they could at least by a life insurance policy for them just in case something happened there family would be taken care of; but well know that is just a pipe dream.
ReplyDeleteIf the NTCC Preacher is smart they will at least purchase some Term Insurance.

Reminded me of a more recent movie for kids called Ants. Samething we lived in while stuck in the ntcc.
The Ants have to bring in and stock up the storepile for the Grasshoppers. Who would swoop in and bully the Colony of Ants to keep doing the work for them. While the Grasshoppers sat back and chilled. Fat and happy. the peon ntcc ministers and there families are the Ants doing all the work. you can not say that any of those so called office workers are doing actual WORK!
The Grasshoppers are Mike,Tanya,rw davis,Verna,Grant. Making sure they double talk out of the side of there mouths. To try and keep the colony happy and keep them working. So they can sit back in there big houses, fancy cars, college tution paid, fat and happy!
BUT,what happened at the end of the movie. It took ONE ant to get them to all realize they had strength in numbers. They did not have to do the Grasshoppers work for them. They can do it for THEMSELVES! Exactly what many of us that come on this blog for. To get folks attention. Break out of the brainwashed fog your in and you are in a fog believe me! It is NOT a sacrifice or a blessing to God to be someone's doormatt and do the work for others. God wants to Bless EVERYONE. Not just Mike K,and his wife and Kid. Nothing more special about him then any man or woman in ntcc right now!
Rise up folks and fight back against those grasshoppers that have had you doing there work for them. God is not in ntcc! He left it a longtime ago!

This is off subject but there is something that always used to bother me. I always wondered why it was the black sisters had to style there hair a certain way it seemed instead of having freedom to choose their own style. Why is is that cornrows and different type of weave styles seemed to be forbidden? I remember hearing from the pulpit for the black sisters not to use grease in their hair and get there greasy heads all over the church pews. This really bothered me and caused me to pray for the black sisters that they would not be offended and leave because this could easily be seen as prejudice. If I had a black friend come to my house I would not tell her don't stain my couch with your greesy head just as much so things should not be like this in the house of God.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeff, I'm fairly new to your blog. I'm lovin it btw!! I completely agree with you about NTCC keeping it's members broke! My parents were sent to start a church (up North) and we drove an old beat up truck with NO HEAT all winter! Oh and that's not all...I remember the higher ups (Olson, Gaylord) would occasionaly come visit the start up churches driving their fancy RV's! Meanwhile, the preachers were struggling barely making ends meet! I have more I could say but I've probably already said enough.
ReplyDelete"Why is is that cornrows and different type of weave styles seemed to be forbidden?"
ReplyDeleteBecause on the NTCC plantation, it's only acceptable to be black if one avoids displaying any of the related culture. Given RW's penchant for the N word, that's not too surprising. He frequently mocked the music, dress, and other forms of expression associated with black people.
Here are a couple of RW's jokes, which I personally heard him relate in church over the pulpit:
What does "reneg" mean (he pronounced it "renig")?
Change of shift at the Burger King.
Why don't blacks marry Mexicans?
They're afraid that the kids will be too lazy to steal.
Yep, right from the lips of the "apostle," the man who has never missed God, does everything by the Holy Ghost, and can't remember the last time he sinned. Wow.

Because the way I see it, RWD wanted the Black Sisters to do their best to fix their hair like the White Sisters. RWD wanted Blacks to be more like Whites. I truly believe that. I had three NTCC pastors tell me that the NTCC/RWD wasn't an advocate for interracial marriages specifically between Blacks and Whites. The reason they gave was that interracial marriages between Blacks and Whites would hinder God's program.
I could almost accept that sorry excuse if it weren't for the NTCC not showing nearly as much passion against everything else which clearly made a negative impact on the "so called program of God". Known abusive ministers have been running off people from the NTCC for decades and I'm supposed to believe that RWD was really that concerned with interaxial marriages having a negative impact?
No way. RWD just has a little racism in him and he is ok with Blacks just as long as they try to act white i.e. the mandates concerning the way Black Women wear their hair. His personal belief is that Blacks marry Blacks and Whites marry Whites and the excuse that he gives is bogus. It doesn't add up. If he really cared about running people away from his church there are a whole lot of other things he'd put a stop to first.
In the NTCC it was ok for white and black people to have church together, take each others money, ride in the same car, be in the same army, just don't marry each other. Garbage. RWD said you can marry a black if you are white or a white if you are black, just don't think about being a pastor.
You can abuse people and be a pastor in the NTCC, get caught having sex with someone you are not married to and be a pastor in the NTCC, abuse other peoples kids and get taken to jail and be a pastor in the NTCC, have a few loose screws and be a pastor in the NTCC but RWD don't want you to be a pastor in the NTCC if you are part of a black and white interracial marriage.
I don't buy it. It's low grade covert racism is all it is.
Jeff
And listen to this. While I was writing my statement, Vic was writing his statement. I didn't know what he was writing and visa versa. The first time I saw his was after I posted mine. You'll find similarities if you read them both. Oh but what do Vic and I know. We are both just dreaming all this stuff up. No I got one better, it's just the devil lying. I'm so sick of that statement that it's unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteJeff
Black People: This is the man you follow? Oh I forgot, "whosoever loveth the law of the Lord, nothing shall offend them." The way the NTCC uses that scripture is pure trash. They brainwash black people by telling racist jokes while convincing black people that they are wrong if they get offended.
ReplyDeleteThat is garbage. I remember pastor Snyder telling some seriously racist jokes about black people's lips during a 4 or 5 state fellowship meeting at which RWD was present. I happened to be sitting right next to him and the jokes were so crass that it made me real uncomfortable. He got that garbage from RWD or they both learned it from their racist past.
I just don't buy it. RWD was using the N word? He is a racist and I don't care how many or "how few" tokens he has in leadership positions in his church. RWD targets the military and a black person's money buys real estate just like a white person's does. The jokes are uncalled for, the N word is uncalled for and it has racism written all over it.
My passive NTCC days are over. Say that garbage around my little boy or my wife or my daughter or my best friend who is a big black dude, and you just barked up the wrong tree. Say that garbage around me and you got your hands full but say it around my best friend and I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.
If you want to willfully insight anger by using the N word or telling a joke about a black person's lips then you are the stupid one, not the person who gets angry.
I can't believe that Black People put up with that mess but the NTCC's brainwashing runs deep.
So RWD has you convinced that letting a so called brother deliberately verbally abuse you is what being a Christian is all about? Black people and White people fought and died to put a stop to this mess and here it is, still showing it ugly face in the NTCC.
I'd rather have Adolph Hitler be my pastor then some of these creeps. At least you knew where you stood with Adolph. These guys are sneaky racists.

ReplyDeleteThere was a brother that told me he had interest in a white sister, but the pastor forbid the relationship because if he married out side of his race he wouldn’t be able to be a preacher. But the crazy part about this was that brother was mixed mother black and father white. So RWD how do you judge that situation if you look closer to black then white your black?
ReplyDeleteRWD has no room to stand on since he is a white boy and his daughter is Asian.
ReplyDeleteHis Asian Daughter married another white boy named MC Kekel.
So obviously it is OK for white people to date black people, have relationships with black people, and lets have some babies too while we are at it.
In fact, if I recall, that white boy named MC Kekel and that Asain chick named Tanya had an Asian American son named Grant Kekel.
He's all mixed up which really, is good for NTCC.
I'm just curious on one thing: What did MC Kekel have as far as qualties that superseeded all other available brethren? Sure wasn't looks!! At the time it sure was not Money either!!!
Like Jeff says, If it is good enough for MC Kekel, it is good enough for me!!!
Here is another mixed couple:
ReplyDeleteThe Butlers. Oh, I forgot. They left NTCC too, right!?!
Bro Johnson
The Army pulled me out of that Racism mess.
ReplyDeleteThen I find out that NTCC had the "Same Race Mandate"
There are too many good looking and HOT black ladies, Asian ladies (my lovely Korean wife being one), Hispanic ladies and other race ladies walking around, there is no way NTCC could have kept that same race marry policy without falling apart.
BTW I have some gorgeous kids, thanks to my wife!
Bro Johnson
Jeff,
ReplyDeleteHooah! No more passiveness! Every now and then my wife gets treated unfairly because of her race. It always happens when I am not around. I'm suppose to be the Protector of the Family and Wife.
That drives me up the wall. If someone offends my wife they just offended me, and I will come out from the corner fighting.
Starbucks found out about that today when I contacted Customer Service to complain about unfair treatment towards my wife.
My wife is going to enjoy that 10 dollar Starbucks Gift Card, extra coupons and to know that the store is going to suffer the consequences due to making my wife feel bad and uncomfortable by not doing everything they could do to rectify her complaint against them - just because she's Korean.
I hope the woman that did not treat my wife fairly gets fired. Sorry too late lady, should have practiced what you preached.
IHOP is going to find out about not treating my wife right and lying to me too.
It is amazing what a phone call to the TOP can do!!
Hooah!

"Another brother got jumped on at least once a week because he had to work on Saturday but what was he supposed to do, quit his job? According to the NTCC pastor he was."
ReplyDeleteYes, he was. I heard Davis say many times that if it came down to going to conference or keeping a job, you went to conference. The church was ALWAYS supposed to come before the job.
" I remember hearing from the pulpit for the black sisters not to use grease in their hair and get there greasy heads all over the church pews."
There's some blatant racism there. I would never DARE tell someone what they should or should not do with their hair. It's my understanding some women don't create enough natural oil so that their hair becomes dry and brittle and breaks off. So what, did he want all the black ladies to be mostly bald? Maybe that was his way of trying to keep them in their place :(
"He frequently mocked the music, dress, and other forms of expression associated with black people."
Which is rather ironic since his son decided to start introducing black gospel into the Saturday night services, back when it was only for the students.
By the way, the interracial marriages didn't seem to apply to white men and Asian women. I knew a few brothers who, as ministers, went to Korea or the Philippines and brought back a wife from there. And they still got to go out on works. So apparently that mix didn't matter. Not sure why that would be. Anyone?
I can't use the N word it is like a curse word to me (personal conviction) I don't send those to hell who don't say in in a non prejudice way but I personally can not. I had a hard time even saying it before I was a Christian well as a white girl saying it I knew I could get jumped LOL. But I was raised to never see people as a color.
ReplyDeleteMy dad was shocked when he met my husband to find out he was actually not black LOL. But I married the one God wanted me to and am very much in love and love does have no color. I actually had a relationship broken off in NTCC because of racial differences (so I was told by Sister Denis) But that is really all speculation.
I never really was told why the relationship was broken off and no one explained it to me, I was told they would but I was left hanging and was never able to talk to the brother again. We were both in Bible school at the time with very strict limitations. God knows though I am very happily married now but It was confusing and took lot of time to heal in this area even after I had been married a few years.
The very thing that drew me so much to NTCC was seeing all the diversity. The first church sevice I was ever in I saw people of every race dancing arm and arm in the isles having a great time and it was incredible to me :)
I think it is sad that people have to forget about there roots and be seemly ashamed of their heritage. I think that scripture about endless genealogies is taken out of context. I actually began to be more interested in my culture lately and don't feel now there is anything wrong with knowing more about it and studying it.
Being from Tacoma and living in Pendleton Oregon I really miss the diversity. Racist jokes haves always bothered me, in Pendleton a few times I have heard some. One time I almost came unglued but had to contain myself because this was someone I was trying to get to church and I knew if God got a hold of his heart he would change him.
We had a man who came to church who used to be real prejudice of Hispanics and God changed the way he felt about them completely and he confessed the issues of his heart and how God had changed him without my husband and I ever saying anything.
Last year I was shocked when I heard a board member referring to Mexicans as wetbacks it grieved me completely and I was in an utter state of shock. Anyways judging someone because of the color of their skin is so very stupid to me and I feel so sorry for children who are raised and brainwashed into being prejudice. And am thankful for my mother not being this way and my wonderful godmother Linda who now is with the Lord.
"So RWD how do you judge that situation if you look closer to black then white your black?"
ReplyDeleteApparently by the old racist "one drop rule," which forbids any "contamination" of pure lily-white stock. One drop makes a person black.
Jeff said,
ReplyDelete"I can't believe that Black People put up with that mess but the NTCC's brainwashing runs deep."
us slave and massah mentality that is WHY.we can rape your women by talkin' about them. can undermine your manhood black men. KNOW your place in Jesus name!
"Last year I was shocked when I heard a board member referring to Mexicans as wetbacks it grieved me completely and I was in an utter state of shock".
ReplyDeleteMr. Briggs, here you go, The Highly Esteemed Board Members who meet twice a year delivering racist comments.
Even if this was in jest, why even bring this subject up at all?
You have apologized before, but sooner or later you have got to get fed up apologizing about your leadership's decisions and mistakes.
Seems like an old 45 record going back over and over again.
MacDonald even called me the N word and I am white! He said, and I quote, "You N-----!" then punches me (weak punch) in the shoulder.
I guess he felt he could be himself around me. Did this upset me? No, but I was very surprised.
Regards,
Bro Johnson
I was in the Army and also went to BS with John MacDonald. Back then, it was a common practice to call one another "niggers," regardless of race. RW set the example for us, and we were so blinded by his "apostleship" that we didn't even stop to think how offensive it was. At some point things changed, and then people were being blasted for saying it! But there was no explanation or apology; we just had to get with the new program. I guess enough tithers were alienated to get their attention.

ReplyDeleteAnge says,
This reminded me of a time when Eric James Barden did this to a brother who is an African American, called the man the N-word! Eric was so sure that all things davis did were right, and so naive he actually was giggling with glee, as if this was only good-natured ribbing. I watched with a sinking heart as Eric laughed, sure he was 'in' but completely oblivious to the look on the other man's face. All I can say is it was a testament to the African American Reverend's Christian character that he did not level Eric. I wish I could tell you that later I discussed this incident in private with Eric, so he could make amends. But there was no discussing things with Eric. He was a total subscriber to all things davis and would consider any opinion differing from rdub as heresy. So like many other things it got filed in the life's lessons book and stored for later retrieval.
To the other man, thanks for being a Christian. Eric was oblivious. For my part, sorry I didn't say anything. But perhaps for that situation it was best? Not sure. I'm not too silent these days :-) I've learned that ntcc used silence to hide their dirt and control people. Such abuse must be stopped. We all have stories. Collectively they paint a strong picture of how destructive and abusive the ntcc is.
Ange
I am married to an ntcc man and things are good for us. We are not in Washington but members of a successful church where the pastor respects and follows his leaders like no other. He does not struggle or live in poverty. He is full time and not trying to pursue another career which is the downfall of so many ministers. If you want to be a cop then go be that and still serve God but if you are called to be a preacher or pastor and are pursuing other avenues and careers then maybe that's why it just doesn't work. Be all you can be at what you are... and so what if they couldn't afford a camera...everyone has times of struggles. People in ntcc are not exempt. Pastor struggled at one time in his life and was poor but over time and with faithfulness to God, God blessed him.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that the bible college teaches finances in class and other times as well... if there are brothers broken diwn on the side of the road or can't put it together its not anyones fault but their own. They just didnt apply what was taught.

ReplyDeleteYeah, they taught us all kinds of techniques, while simultaneously insuring that we were never in the position to follow their advice. It was cruel.
Your lack of compassion reveals your inexperience in life. Perhaps someday you'll be broken down on the side of the road through no fault of your own; then maybe you won't be so harsh.

That's is the attitude of the ntcc and it has manifested itself in you. We are so glad you made this comment. One day you will probably ask yourself, "What was I thinking"? This is what they want you to think. I'm glad that God doesn't have your attitude, we'd all be lost forever. Peter told the crippled man at the gate called beautiful, "Rise up and walk". He didn't say, "It's your own fault you are here". Jesus healed many and never did he have your attitude. They deserve to be broke down and not have anything because they have brought it upon themselves. Maybe some day God will show you what true love is all about.
Let's revisit 1 Cor. 13 for a moment. Love suffereth long and is kind. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not Love, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbol. Seeketh not her own. Not easily provoked. Thinketh no evil. Rejoiceth not in iniquity.
Those brothers brought it upon themselves. If they were as righteous as I am they would not be in that position. Stephanie, take a close look at what you are being taught. Use your own brain and stop letting others use it for you. That whole line of thinking is what makes the ntcc an abusive and destructive cult. They will continue to use you as long as you let them. Your eyes are blinded from the true love of God. It's more than a feeling.
These users will use you and then spit you out when they are done with you. This is how they operate. When you find yourself giving until it hurts and then look at what you have to show for it a few years down the line, you will be just like one of those brothers that is broken down on the side of the road, and they will pass by and shake their head at you saying, "It's nobodies fault but your own".
What did Jesus say about "a certain man, fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded [him], and departed, leaving [him] half dead."
And a certain ntcc preacher I mean a priest saw him and passed by on the other side.
And then a certain ntcc board member I mean a Levite saw him and passed by on the other side.
Who actually helped the guy? A samaritan, who was looked down upon by the ntcc, I mean religious hypocrites of the day.
We know how the ntcc operates. You're too late to tell us that they love souls and care about others and are looking out for your best interests. They care not for the homeless or the drunkard or the derelict or the broken down hurt souls. We've been where you are now and God has opened our eyes. We pray that God will open yours also.

Just a passing thought:
ReplyDeleteWhen Peter told that man to Rise up and walk....... Peter did not check the man's tithe record to see if he was current before he prayed for the man. Lo and Behold, a miracle did take place right then and there!
When Jesus went to the home of Jairus and healed the daughter, Jesus did not check Jairus' tithe record to see if he was current. Jesus just said "I will come and heal her"
Lo and Behold, a miracle happened right then and there!
As I have said before, I pay tithe to my church willingly as unto God and I am blessed by God. However, it is erroneous to believe God requires a payment of money for entry to heaven or to gain His righteousness.

Bingo. That is exactly where I'm at. I have no problem with someone paying tithe. I have a problem with people insisting that they do it or supposedly they will go to hell.
Jeff
Wow!!! I can't argue with you my brother. Sadly this is going on in so many different places. We have seen it in some of the mega churches. It is very sad.
