Thread #49 Here’s the story folk’s. This picture was posted on Mike Kekel's blog. What interesting about these pictures is that they show a pattern developing within the NTCCs hierarchy. With RWD being quite old now, Kekel has become the new captain of the ship. Kekel is perpetuating a new notion of a new kinder gentler NTCC than was previously taught by RWD. This picture shows an image of a young NTCS graduate acting like one of the homeboy’s back on the block. Is that actually a big deal? No of course it is not. The guys are having a little fun and they should be, after all they went through at the NTCC school of rules. The problem is RWD would not have previously advocated that type of conduct. The guy's cap is tipped backwards while he throws up the old sign with his lips clenched. He reminds me of one of the homeboy's from the hood. RWD and his ministers have always taught that is creating the appearance of evil. Is there actually a problem with the guy having fun? No, of course not, but why did Mike Kekel choose to post "that" picture when RWD has never approved of such conduct? Because Mike is trying to show NTCC folks what the standard is, while creating the impression that things have been like that all along. We all know they haven't. RWD never ever advocated or condoned someone acting like one of the homeboy's and he certainly wouldn't have allowed it to be posted on the internet.

What's Up Homeboy?
There is another picture on Kekel's blog showing a group of young kids playing an innocent game of foosball. This is a game you find in a bowling alley or arcade. Sounds like fun. The boy in the rear right corner of the picture behind and to the left of the tall guy has his hat flipped around backwards. Once again RWD wouldn't have condoned that. The NTCC always wanted us to create a certain kind of impression to the public. I understand the kid turned his hat around to more effectively see the table but RWD would have told the parent to have the kid turn it back around or take it off, and then he would have preached at the parent during the next service. Instead Kekel posted the picture for all to see. I'm assuming this is the inside of Kekels house? Boy Kekel is loaded. That is all the good old NTCC money hard at work. A game room while ministers are running around broke? Kekel is sucking you guys dry. Boy he is living high on the hog. I'm really disappointed that I sacrificed one dime toward the NTCC. I see where my hard earned money went. For all the money that I gave to the NTCC my family could have had a game room. We have a very nice house but no game room. I want one. Maybe I will get a game room one day. It will take me longer than Kekel because I am not getting money from everybody else. Plus I'm having to play catch up since I left the NTCC because they sucked up every dime they could get out of me. NTCC folks have the nerve to say I'm greedy? Kekel's house is proof of his greed and it came to him at the expense of all his broke ministers. Who else in the NTCC has a house like Kekel's? Other then RWD show me one person. Something is wrong with that picture.
Jeff
I'm sorry Jeff but you are just way off line, if that was kekel's house there would be chandeliers all over and some pretty curtains around the game tables covering the legs, you know that victorian look they like.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that place looks like the education center because you can see the industrial look around the walls and doors.
I don't think kekel would like all those people coming to his house, at least that is what we were used to years ago.
Another thing that I was thinking about is that when I graduated, you were not allowed to take pictures.
I heard that this year they took pictures professionally of the graduates and then they had a graduation reception afterwards!
In my time the graduates were invited to a jim moore's restaurant with rwd and the board members, but I couldn't go because I was broke.
I wonder what the name of this class was, what about:
"The Compromisers"
That picture of the kids was taken at the Kekel's home - right there on his blog it says that the 4th of July bash was at their home.
ReplyDeleteWhat really gets me about the graduation pictures is that RW never allowed photography inside either chapel. Even at weddings. My wedding was pretty small, but I got a lot of pictures, and my mother in law actually had enough to make an entire scrapbook for my Christmas present that year. I couldn't imagine having been told I couldn't have any pictures of my wedding. That is a once in a lifetime thing for me.
The same goes for graduation - I couldn't imagine not having any pictures... but every student who graduated during the time I was growing up in that church, there was not one indoor picture of the graduation ceremony. Not one picture of anyone being handed a diploma, not one picture of a group photo except for the one the church staff took. Why is that? What were they trying to hide?
JM
in the past rw didn't want the outside world knowing to much that went on behind the guarded gate's. Now with Mike K. in charge. And his goal is a huge mega Church. Show the world that we are not a wacko cult that so many are saying they are.
ReplyDeletethey can pretend all they want./ Those of us that lived through there bondage they put us through. It is in note's,memories, school handbooks.
What I can't understand is the folks in those picture's at the BBQ. Know that was against rule's before. Would have been bashed over the pulpit if a local Church had done the samething that Mike K. just did. A basketball court in his backyard!! WOW
CM
Jeff,
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that photo was taken inside of Kekels garage-- you know, the one that parked his Mercedes sports car he says he never drove. The garage is bigger than alot of apartments I've rented while in ntcc. If the picture had been INSIDE the house, you would have seen crystal chandaliers, expensive furniture, ornate kitchen cabinetry, expensive rugs, and sisters cleaning it all.
JM,
ReplyDeleteI remember when I let my pastor perform my wedding ceremony.
I don't even want to remember that day. I wish I would have left ntcc then. I don't even celebrate it on that date because it was a total waste of our time and makes me sick to think about it. I'm disgusted with myself for not standing up and acting like a man. NTCC makes me sick.
I read an article on yahoo that talked about the 5 best businesses to own. You will never guess what was among the five? To own or pastor a "church". You better believe it. Pastors are getting rich while their church members and junior ministers become more poverty stricken. RWD has had it figured out all along. If you can throw your conscience out the window, you can pastor a church, place bogus scriptures in your doctrinal statement to support tithing like 1Cor 16:2, and ride your church members all the way to the bank. RWD and Kekel have a strength that I don't have. No matter how hard I try I can't bring myself to soak my church members dry while I build on my mansion, bank account, and realestate portfolio all at the expense of my struggling church members. Pastors are doing this one right after another. In every city in the US some pastor is loaded to the hilt with a big fat house while the majority of his or her church members are essentially broke. I don't see a problem with guys like Kekel having a great big house. The problem is so many church members and ministers have sacrificed their last dime in order for Kekel to have what he owns.
ReplyDeleteI have said this before but it is the same as the story of Robin Hood. Kekel is the Sheriff of Nottingham and his church members are the poor broke common folks.
Jeff
I wonder where RWD was. There were no pictures of him. Olson, Kinson, and Johnson pictures were posted. Come to think of it Kekel didn't even post a picture of himself or his wife that I saw. Strange? It would appear that Kekel and RWD don't like pictures of themselves to be posted. I have my theory on that one. It's called idenification fear.
ReplyDeleteThe cult leader probably doesn't like current pictures of himself floating around. I think that is quite probable.
Well you can find my picture above.
Jeff
Duh, he was the one behind the camera!

Ok where was RWD? What, his wife doesn't know how to use a camera? If I was hosting a party it is likely that I would wind up in some of the pictures. Duh, other people can take pictures using his camera also. My daughter used my camera to take pictures of me and my friend when he came to my house just the other day. I still find it odd that neither Kekel, Tanya or RWD wound up in the posted pictures. That is my story and I'm sticking to it. No picture of me this time.
Jeff
Jeff,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there is motive behind which pictures were allowed into blogsville.
Hey Larry. What's up my friend? Everything is going well here in Georgia. You didn't receive an invitation to the Kekels for the holidays? What a shame.
ReplyDeleteJeff
....Jeff pics of other peoples children on your blog...what gives!!??
ReplyDeletens
NS: The pictures are on the internet. They came from the internet. There may very well be, but is there something that I am missing? I am open to you explaining to me about any ethical violation that I may have committed. They were already posted openly for all to see. They are playing foosball. These pictures weren't posted by their parents, they were posted by Kekel. I see pro NTCC websites with pictures of NTCC kids posted all over them. This website has a link to Kekel's whole blog with pictures and all.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.christianhomekeeping.com/2008/01/revival-at-ntcc.html
If I am missing something please let me know, but pictures of NTCC children are posted all over the internet and by people other than their parents. With that being said I am definitely open to anyone's advice concerning this matter.
Jeff
I was thinking of how ntcc really has changed from 20 years ago. I was studying the pics from the Fourth of July blast at Kekels house and here is one of many changes. Foosball is a game that I know a lot about. I used to play in tournaments when I was a young lad. The issue that I have with it is that there is no difference between foosball and pool. The two go hand in hand like a match made in heaven or hell depending on what you believe. I played that game for years and guess where you find them? That’s right pool halls, billiard halls, arcades and everywhere else sinners hang out, in fact you typically gamble to see who pays for the next game. I recall vividly all the stoners loved playing foosball. I personally don’t have a problem with it unless it’s at Kekels house you see that used to be a sin and now little by little you will see this as the norm. I know someone will say foosball was never on the school of rules list but did you ever see one before now? There is NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FOOSBALL AND BILLIARDS. I dare anyone to argue this point with me. I know a minister that is in the ntcc and he vowed years ago that if ntcc ever compromised that he would leave. Buddy you better start packing, your way behind on your promise.

********************
Jeff, I was very disappointed that I didn't receive an invite. I could have destroyed anyone at foosball. I used to love that sinner game. Do you think I'll get any takers and the foosball and billiards argument?
Life is great here in Washington.
Take care.
Larry
I have no problem with taking the picture down if I've made and ethical mistake or violation here. In fact it is done. I accept NS's reproof and I acted on it accordingly. I don't really see a problem with posting a picture that has been already made available for all to see on the internet on more than one website.
ReplyDeleteHowever my judgement could very well be wrong here so the picture is gone. You can find it on Kekel's blog or a link to it on the christianhomekeeping site. Too easy. I hope that is sufficient NS.
Sincerely,
Jeff
Jeff, since you took the picture of with the kids.
ReplyDeleteYou could put up the picture of the adults playing volleyball, the basketball court in the backyard.
Some might think what we are pointing out is petty. We were told what there now doing was a sin. They cancelled a service. And closed the doors of Gods house. Then have a BBQ. Same kind of BBQ that was banned at any servicemen home's. Wasting precious time that could be put to better use was the so called reason.
But now Mike K. wants to have about a hundred people to his home. But if one of those minister's wanted to do the samething. NO WAY. Only one other couple can come to there home. And they have to get in line to get permission. Double Standard!!
Just think of the other minister's that are in Washington, the students. All were excluded from there little Party!
CM
Jeff,
ReplyDeleteI understand that the children's pics are all over the internet. I just didn't want the children to think they were being personally attacked, by having their picture under a critique.

Larry asked...
ReplyDeleteDo you think I'll get any takers and the foosball and billiards argument?
Jeff said...
Not likely. If they do it certainly wouldn't be very hard to refute. You made a valid point. A table game is a table game. Bets are place around all different types of table games. Pool, foosball, ping-pong, air hockey, rockum sockum robots. Ha, ha. I just though about rockum sockum robots. We used to play that game as a kid.
You made a valid point Larry. Once again, double standards. For that matter bowling is no different. There is no more wrong with bowling than there is foosball. So what if they serve beer at a bowling alley. They also serve beer at 98% of the restaurants where the NTCC leadership eats. Double standard once again. If they can play foosball and eat at a restaurant where alcoholic is served, then there is nothing wrong with going to a bowling alley.
Jeff
NS: I understand. I respect you and your point of view. I'm sure you noticed that the picture is down.
ReplyDeleteJeff
CM: I understand totally. It makes me just as sick as it makes you. Probably not quite as bad because I never went to the school of rules like you did. The NTCC is one totally messed up organization. Kekel is such a hypocrite. All I can say is I understand how you feel CM. The NTCC has seriously damaged the lives of many people. We trusted the NTCC leadership and followed their stupid rules for years just to see it all changed by Kekel while RWD stands idly by and watches it all take place. It's quite sickening when you think about it.
ReplyDeleteCM we can't turn back the tables of time so all we can do is try and make up for lost time. That is exactly what I am doing. My wife and I are making some serious financial progress since we left the NTCC. The good thing for me is that I never let the NTCC leadership talk me into becoming broke because they certainly tried. Every good job I got they wanted me to quit for one reason or another.
They didn't want my wife to work at all. Needless to say we have some good money rolling into my house now and I don't have to deal with someone trying to guilt trip me because I have to work on the weekend. I'm taking care of my family just like Kekel does. The only difference is I work for my money and my family isn't taken care of by a bunch of poor church folks.
Jeff
Whas up Homies?.
ReplyDeleteA long standing 'policy' has been ‘officially’ changed. What 'policy'?
Well it’s not the (remember, everyone at Graham, who is not a ‘civilian’, is to abide by the Seminary’s ‘policies’)…
• don’t-ever-wear-a-t-shirt-as-your-shirt ‘policy’…
• no-wearing-hats-indoors ‘policy’…
• don’t-wear-your-baseball-cap-backwards-or kicked-back-on-your-head ‘policy’…
• don’t-wear-your-dress-too-tight ‘policy’…
It’s not even the (remember, everyone at Graham, who is not a ‘civilian’, is to abide by the Seminary’s ‘policies’)…
• if-your-shirt-has-tails-on-it-don’t-walk-around-with-it-un-tucked ‘policy’…
• don’t-walk-around-outside-with-no-shoes-on ‘policy’…
• don’t-wear-a-clingy-sweater-if-your-a-woman ‘policy’…
• don’t-ever-leave-your-purse-unattended ‘policy’…
• don’t-wear-faddish-eyewear ‘policy’.
Though not as egregious as the ‘policy’ violations I have listed above, it’s a minor thing really, but it’s still what I would like to discuss. The 'policy' is…a church service, or other church activity, is never canceled, no matter what (barring a sufficiently severe natural disaster). This has now been changed. Why is this important? Well, according to part (the other part being money) of NTCC’s prior ‘policy’…What about the souls that would have been ‘saved’ during the services which were cancelled? The loss of finances from canceling a service in Graham is not a necessary consideration, as we will discuss below.
As a Pastor of a Servicemen's Home you can now cancel services whenever your congregation gets a 3 or 4 day weekend (almost once each month, some months twice). The only question you will have to ask yourself is...Can your church's finances absorb the hit to your church's bottom line? You do need to consider this…After all; you don’t have the luxury of a captive congregation of Ministers, Seminary students, and their family giving in the offering.
But, if you do this (I say ‘if’ because, again, you don’t have the luxury of a captive congregation of Ministers, Seminary students, and their family giving in the offering), though the right decision, your church attendance at other times will take a nosedive.
NTTC’s business model is based on the Pastor driving the schedule to maintain/increase attendance and therefore tithe and offerings (everywhere but Graham, since you are sending money to them, and the Seminary and many [most?] of NTCC’s Ministers are there giving in the offering); but money considerations are the same in any secular endeavor.
If you don’t cancel services, this could demonstrate to your own self that NTCC’s ‘policies’ have been rules (many even damning sins) all along, just as we all have always known, in spite of Rev. Kekel’s public online averring to the contrary. Additionally, this may also indicate you don’t agree with all the changes to ‘policy’ which have been ushered in with NTCC’s ‘Kekel Dispensation’. You have been loyal to Pastor Davis all these years, and Rev. Kekel is changing things. Is it time to leave? Either it’s time to leave, or Pastor Davis has missed God, etc.
Of course Pastor, as always, you will have to calculate the effect to your NTCC testimony from the potential fallout from potentially being held to a different standard at your own work if you start canceling services, but this has always been a consideration (fallout) in the past. So this is not a new dynamic for you.
Any change in policy always engenders the question why the policy was originally instituted. Which is one of our few points, especially since much of NTCC ’policy’ has always been coupled with the assurance of eternal damnation.
Though the pictures didn’t reflect 100 people in attendance, this could be NTCC’s version of the million-man-march. A show of force and solidarity (even if it didn’t meet the organization’s expectation), to the lost and dying of the world (and NTCC’s very few detractors), that “WE ARE WINNING!” Good for them.
Peace out,
pdq (please excuse the dated jargon, I don’t even attempt to keep up with all the amendments to ‘thug speak’)
Hey Jeff,
ReplyDeleteCheck out the hot sister in photo #5!! Baby Got Back! (Just kidding)
Is that REV Pat Kinson in the last photo?
Cancelled services? Say it ain't so!! At Fort Campbell, Hanna had service with just the brothers in the home when no one could drive to church in the snow.
We are seeing the beginning of the end with NTCC.
The sad part is, I do not see anyone I know in those photos.
It is nice to see where all my extra tithe money went - to BUILD Kekel's house!!
I know this sounds corny, but I check your blog out every day just to see if Davis has passed away.
Bro Johnson
The hot sister in frame # 5 was in a trance, she was running with the waterbottle in her plate, wanting to to be a blessing to Tanya (not pictured)
ReplyDeleteMost be something about those exotic women, huh Tanya??
MLJ
"Additionally, this may also indicate you don’t agree with all the changes to ‘policy’ which have been ushered in with NTCC’s ‘Kekel Dispensation’."
ReplyDeleteBehold, we have a new Dispensation. The Kekel Dispensation. PDQ got it right and figured out.
We are past the Age of Grace. The new order of Dispensation is this:
Eternal Past
Pre-Adamite World
Chaotic Earth
Re-Creation
Innocence
Conscience
Human Government
Promise
Law
Grace
KEKEL
Tribulation
There you go folks. The Age of Grace is done. We are almost a tribulation time. Egads! We need to throw another BBQ and pray about this one!!
Bro Johnson
Bro J: I recognize many people in the pictures. In fact I recognize just about all the adult males. Many of them have been in the NTCC 20 to 30 years or more. Yeah pdq did have it right.
ReplyDeleteKekel is changing the NTCC quite dramatically. The changes are probably for the best but it's insulting when Kekel says that everything is the same. Things may be the same for his family but not the rest of us. Kekel has been doing what he wanted to do all along I'm sure.
Jeff
At the table under the umbrella- I see the Wrights to te left- and JLJ to the right - near Gesang. But who are those 2 in the middle? Ashmore?
ReplyDeletePosted on Christian Homekeeping: "God gave us an example of what happens when a city is turned over homesexuality - we all know what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah and to this day, it is in ruins"
ReplyDeleteBeware of homesexuality. Sex at home, I guess.
I just had to make a comment on the beverage of choice at there TIME WASTING BBQ. If they got time to have a BBQ,they got time to go out and knock on some doors(out of rw mouth)
ReplyDeleteI saw alot of them drinking PEPSI! Mike K. cancels service's,has a BBQ,plays sports games's. Looks like there all sitting down have a PEPSI with the Devil!Hilarious how this cult is trying to change there True colors.
Those men look silly on that basketball court. Women in dresses playing volleyball. Sure it was quite modest of them. To lunge for a ball in a skirt.
CM
I use to attend a Baptist Church which I believed preached righteousness.
ReplyDeleteI remember the preacher yelling at the congregation.
It was small at that time. My Mom told me years later when I joined the Army that they had young girls dressed in skimpy outfits doing a play at church, and that they decided to leave. We are talking about a church that I grew up in and had to an extent, some pull in.
The church grew BIG. But being BIG does not mean a Church is better.
BRO J

ReplyDeleteOlsons
Yes, this was at Rev. kekel's house. The picture of the kids in the garage has Rev. D's son in the sun glasses. Rev. Johnson's grandson is the one with the hat on backwards.
ReplyDeleteI don't see 100 people either. Maybe they came and went or some were in the house. I really can't see Rev. Davis attending a picnic can you? I don't believe he came or if he did he is in the house.
One ntcc member said this to me. If that is gangster signs. So be it. That is between them and God. No way! They represent NTCC. Aren't they making a mockery of serious Graduation!!!
