Rev. Briggs,
...not everyone wants to see NTCC close shop. I believe that there needs to be true reform. In order for there to be true reform...there has to be an acknowledgment of past policies, mistakes, or whatever you want to call them.

College is not overrated, it has been enriching in my life. The school I go to is Bible based and teaches its classes with an evangelical spice. I'm getting my degree Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In a few short years I will be a Nurse Practitioner specializing in mental health. My desire is to help "ol Sarges" that have been through the ravages of war.

Yes I am just a woman, but so was Deborah, Ruth, and Rahab.

I was an "ol Sarge" too.

oel Osteen is Houston and he is not even preaching what you consider the truth and he is packing them into a stadium, so what does that tell you?

Joel Osteen charges admission and sells his pews. He is far more after money than any in our ranks.

Then let us reform as WE SE fit. Reformation is for the Members not the exers. I personally don't like France and Russia telling us how to run our country. It's for our citizens to decide.

Unfortunatley you lost your voice in my mind when you quit. We have had minsiterst discussions whcih by the way some in our ranks jumped all over me for because they thought I was too liberal.

But those are internal. Which is what the Bible says the christians should do. Not external before the sinners.

Because the parents make the choice for themselves. It's that simple. My daughter is in Karate that is MY DECISSION. But see, I will not allow her, though beautiful, sweet and tender to be a victim to anyone.

Jeff asked...

Does she wear a dress to Karate Class. Of course I could be wrong but I wouldn't think so. If she does not wear a dress, RWD and his pastors have "Always" taught that she is an abomination because she is wearing apparel that pertains to a man. NTCC Ministers to include RWD would have never approved of our daughters attending Karate classes. Most of them would have had a problem with our sons attending Karate class. I have seen NTCC pastors make fun of brothers who were weight lifters, boxers, and all the rest. NTCC pastors would say things like "do you think you can take God?"

Like I always say, you guys are the biggest bunch of double standard practicer's that I have ever met in my life.

LOL,I was on my way home from running some errands. heard a song on my Sirus that made me laugh. A good theme song for ntcc. Since God talked to Mike k. told him listening to country music was Ok for Him.

Tracy Lawerence. And no he is not gay ntcc folks. Goes like, you can't hide a Redneck in a three piece suit. I would say there are alot of rednecks in ntcc, hiding behind three or two piece suits. Whatever they can scounge up to buy at the kook store!
Oh and there is nothing wrong with being a Redneck. I am one myself! But I no longer have to pretend to be fancy pants, oops dress! trying to wear GAUDY unmodest rings like Tanya wears. Or skimpy tight dresses with slinky shoes like Tanya wears. I can be ME. Something that for a VERY long time was NOT ALLOWED. You can supposedly listen to your concious now and allow God to lead your life. NO WAY WAS That ALLOWED in nTCC. Up until they were losing many, many minister's,. Oh and Briggs it is not lose one gain one. Your latest graduation class was much smaller. When the Richerts left,Bellman and other YOUNGER ministers. You were losing the next generation of what would have been loser's. Now they are Free and many of them are carrying on in the ministry. AND MUCH MORE SUCESSFUL then while in ntcc. God does bless when we are following the right path and what is BIBLICALLY CORRECT!

We have a Fall Festival so the kids can do something around the 31'st of October that the parents can feel good about. They dress up (only as positve images). I've even dressed up as Abe Lincoln.

We have pumpkin carving contests (I always win and I would be more then willing to share an example of my work)

****************************
****************************

Briggs, why don't you just forsake the very appearance of evil! Pumpkin carving, surely your pulling my leg!

Why don't you dress up as Jesus Christ this year? Your members could come dressed up like "Church Goers" and have service instead of catering to the world.

Oh, I forgot: Your part of the NEW NTCC compromise movement.

Sorry your a sinner just as we are. No better then ANYONE in the world! You become washed in the blood. Do you live your life never sinning. I doubt it. You have come on here name calling, belittling others. Not showing the Fruits of a christian. Your not above Mike K. and your master rw. I would watch your step!

Cheyenne Church with the Lizzarga's running it. Were Corrected because they had a Easter fun for the kids. And Flowers up by the pulpit.

And there has not been COMPROMISE in the ranks. A PUMPKIN Carving contest. YEs,that is the appearance of evil. In rw eyes. Mike K,eyes probably not. He will have the Church looking like Olsteen's Church VERY soon. Watch out the cross behind the pulpit will be the next to go.
Now folks do we really need the ugle cross up there . we know what Jesus did. No need to keep that up there folks. It will not scare folks off. We want more NUMBERS folks! This is a BUSSINESS. Mike K. speech!!

My kids dress up and go trick/treating. And they also only dress up as postive image's.

Why did RW bashed the exact samething your doing for YEARS. ONCE he steps down, compromise has set in. This is exactly what Rw said would happen.

It would be nice if all of this was genuine. But your only doing it to be more mainstream. And make sure the money machine is still being fed!!

Now I will answer some of Briggs accusations. First off he said that I called his house, as though that was a problem.

Look Briggs, I can't help it that you are too cheap to get a dedicated phone number that is strictly used for your church. The NTCC official website where I got your phone number from didn't say it was to your house. The phone number that I called is listed under quote, "Church Information", end of quote. What part of that Mr. Briggs would imply that it was your home number? No part thank you. I don't want people calling my "house number" so consequently I am smart enough not to post it. The only number posted is my cell phone. Don't blame me for your lack of proper preparation and your cheapness.

You also stated that I initiated our conversation to quote "harass you". Not true and you know it. I asked you point blank why you kicked one of your church members out of your church and I was interested in hearing your side of the story because there are always two sides of any story. You later gave legitimate reasons for kicking the guy out and I don't dispute that, however you prefaced your reasons by immediately calling the guy a "reprobate" and that is exactly where you and I got off on the wrong foot.

I then immediately told you that I expected you say that he was a reprobate, (because that is the way NTCC ministers operate and they are so predictable) and I had vocally predicted as much no longer than 10 minutes prior to our conversation.

I didn't call to harass you and if you don't want folks calling your home phone than the number shouldn't be listed on the NTCCs official website under (Church Information) Briggs!!!

Then, when I wouldn't listen to you try and talk to me like one of your Private First Class church members you got mad. You are so used to controlling folks that you couldn't deal with me talking back to you and I certainly wasn't going to let you talk down to me even though I did in fact initiate the phone call. During that time you started calling me names like asinine and dodo and you challenged me to come all the way to Texas and talk to you face to face in a threatening manner just like you continue to do right on this blog. So when I realized that it was impossible to have a rational, logical conversation with you without all the name calling, I hung the phone up in your face and you didn't like it.

That's around the time that all the hits started popping up on this blog from none other than Houston Tx. I didn't have to be a genius to figure out that it was you. I also knew it was just a matter of time before you started posting here. Imagine that. You are in fact a narcissistic, abusive, control monger otherwise known as a "loose cannon." That fact is evidenced by the very statements that you have written on this blog. I don't blame you one bit for defending yourself but it is the way you go about it while serving as a "pastor" that is disturbing. In your rage you regularly throw your so called Christianity out the window in an abusive manner just so you can feel as though you've maintained "control" of the whole situation. You Mr. Briggs are anything but in control; but to the contrary you are out of control.

You see there is one very big difference between me and you. I am not trying to serve God in the capacity of a "pastor" but you are, however you don't even attempt to act like it. You are a brawler for sure. You lack temperance. You are a striker. You are certainly not patient? You very easily become angry. You are totally prideful. Read the epistles to Timothy and Titus. You violate half the standards written. I don't agree with NTCC Minister half the time but the dude does have temperance and patience and he does not become angry. That is why I respect him and this Concerned Minister. They don't loose their cool but you regularly do.

I don't often agree with NTCC Minister or Concerned Minister but they act like minister's and you simply don't.

"Unfortunatley you lost your voice in my mind when you quit..."

First of all I didn't QUIT. I was deployed overseas. I put on my "OlSarge" uniform and did my duty, and was subsequently injured. At one time things were so bad, I had to walk with a cane. God put his hand on me now all I have is a slight limp. Anyways I came back to the states...without airing all my drama...to a " hot mess".

I agree it is NTCC business and the members how the church is run, and I'm not dictating how you run your church business. I just saying, give your members a voice Rev. Briggs.

To those that "just got mad a quit" stop minimalizing the issues by saying they are just quitters. Some people in NTCC have quit their hearts, because their Pastors have crushed their spirit. When the members go up to the pastor(reverand or brother etc.) with the offense they are shot down as trouble makeres, trying to tell the Pastor what to do, whiners, etc.

I get into debates with ex-ntxcers all the time on this blog if you have read some of my posts. However, I do have a voice... even if I don't agree. Rev. Kekel is right, some NTCCers do look down on people that don't attend the church.

Hey Hefty Jefty,

How would you classify this Preacher:

Act 13:9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,

Act 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Act 13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

As someone not to try and pattern yourself after unless you have the real goods which is not the case with any of the NTCC ministers who I have met. I would hate for them to try out Paul's approach and it not work. It's just like many NTCC ministers to want to do no more than bring judgment down on their church members.

You seem to forget that things like DVD's, Internet, etc. are brand new technologies that were not fully understood at the time. Pastor had a hands off attitude because he didn't fully understand them. Others took the time to research them, explain them, demonstrate them and another side of them was seen. He still doesn't like them but they are not going away."

RW isn't even dead yet, and you are already casting him as an out of touch old guy that isn't capable of understanding new technologies. Please. How does that square with his assertions that he has never missed God and that all he does is by the Holy Ghost?

Judging by the swiftly changing "policies," God is either befuddled or double minded, or else these decisions are being made according to fickle human whim.

Vic Johanson said...

Isn't it perplexing that TVs are banned on the basis of objectionable content, yet the "sinnernet" is tolerated? Even the most technologically ignorant understand that there is far more vile material online than there has ever been on the tube.

RW personally set me up before service once, grilling me about whether I had a modem and proceeding to blast both barrels from behind the safety of the pulpit like the coward he is. Even though there was no "policy" against it, he couldn't resist the opportunity to jack me up, falsely insinuating that I was using it to watch porn. Now NTCC has a website and many of the ministers are on Facebook and MySpace, but there will be no apology. These guys don't know how to admit when they are wrong (or maybe they don't have the time, since it happens so frequently).

Anonymous said...

Guess what you can watch alot of TV on the sinnernet!
So really ntcc does allow minister's to watch TV. I know this because we did buy the attachment. And watched alot of cable shows . Before we left ntcc. Thought we were sinning. NOT!
it is allowed now!

Never Harm said...

TVs are not banned for ministers because of questionable content. Pastor told us in class that he put that into effect because it was a time waster. If you have time to watch TV you have time to be out soul winning.

Anonymous said...

What about the rotten apple illistration. Why watch a good TV show when there are so many rotten apple shows. To reach though the barrel of rotten apple's to get to a good one!
That was rw speech concerning TV. That we should all turn them around at conference's. And the minister's that choice to stay off the campground. Only did so,to watch TV. Olson would teach, not to head to Sears at certain time's to catch a game on there TV's!

So are you sure that TV were only shunned as a time waster?

CM

Never Harm said...

Your right about the good apple in the slop bucket illustration. He used that for why he didn't think we should watch TV but the ministers are not allowed to own one because of it being a supposed waste of time. You could waste all day reading a book so maybe he should ban books from minister's home also. LOL

Anonymous said...

Listening to books on tape's,blogging, reading books, listening to Gospel music, running errands.
in rw eyes. All are time waster's.

CM

Anon pastor said he took psychological classes so he could, "give better Scriptural advice as well as wound Psychological advice".

I think that's what they call a "Freudian slip".

Vic Johanson said...

"TVs are not banned for ministers because of questionable content. Pastor told us in class that he put that into effect because it was a time waster. If you have time to watch TV you have time to be out soul winning."

Well, the same still applies to the internet. I spend way more time online than in front of the tube, and judging by the plethora of blogs, MySpace, and Facebook pages, there are plenty of NTCC ministers who waste a significant amount of soulwinning time surfing the web.

Anonymous said...

I was just on MK blog. Looking at those picture's of the ntcc 4th July Party! I didn't catch it the first time. In the picture of the kids, hanging out. The girl wearing a DENIUM SKIRT! I remember before we left ntcc. Mike K. said denium was Ok for WORK. Not for recreation, wearing in public for a outing. So why is this little girl wearing a DENIUM SKIRT? Ntcc has bashed Penticostle's for wearing denium skirts in public. And sisters were not to wear sneakers with there skirts! Words from Verna Davis.

Oh and ntcc has NOT CHANGED!

CM

Exactly, so was RWD wrong or are all the Web fiends living in compromise because they are not spending every waking moment soul winning?
